Lee’s Interviews: Rebellious Arab Girl

Introduction:

Lee DoyleRebellious Arab Girl
This is a personal favourite of mine. I have been meaning to Interview Mona for sometime now but always felt I might offend her with some of my questions… But here is the interview and I hope one day to get a follow-up.

Mona runs the personal Blog Rebellious Arab Girl and is known for her straight talking no nonsense blogging. In my personal opinion she is the best blogger around today and is a addictive read unlike any other blogs I have found.

Without sounding like to much of a stalker, I feel I have grown to know Mona through her blogging and random rants. She has a great style and is always a pleasure to read.

Mona has also changed my views of my stereotype of the Arab culture. Without going to deep into what I perceived as a normal Arab, she has greatly changed my views in a positive way.

She has also started a Live Webcam which fans can sit at home and watch her look blankly at a screen all day (She does smile from time to time… Not that I watch it much….).

For anyone who is not a Rebel reader, please check out her archive and you will find some gems from the personal blogging world! It is simply a MUST READ!

Interview:

1. You are one of my personal favourite bloggers and have a big following that grows everyday… What do you think it is about your blog that gets people so hooked?

My blog is truthful. I am not fake and I express my self sometimes sarcastically or humorously or just plain dramatic.

2. Your not afraid of annoying people you know in real life while blogging. Do they know about your blog or is it just that you really do not care? Read more »

Interview:

1. You like to mix humor with getting fit; do you think it helped you to use humor to change your attitude to getting fit rather than the tough approach?

Absolutely, and without a doubt! I would not have been able to stick with it this long (100 weeks so far) without having a sense of humor and poking fun at myself. There are so many obstacles out there, externally (like constant food ads on TV) and internally (coping with unhelpful physicians and health related issues) to just name a few. A solid sense of humor is the only way to go! I started out needing to lose 153 lbs, with congestive heart failure, and rheumatoid arthritis (since age 2) - at age 52 it’s a looooong road ahead to get healthy, but I’m going to enjoy it and laugh along the way as much possible

2. I know many people including Myself who would benefit from your blog. Do you have any plans on marketing your blog more?

I would love to broaden my readership for the blog, but I have no clue how. I just post daily as much as possible and hope folks find me. I accept all forms of free advertising by the way (you can quote me on that! LOL).

3. What was it that inspired you to start your Diet Pulpit blog? Read more »

Lee’s Interviews: Deimos

Lee Doyle's BlogDeimosIntroduction

This is my second interview of the week in which I intend to switch from one a week to two a week from no on.

Deimos is one of the first faces I got to notice on Entrecard as his EntreCard was a very noticeable picture (Find out more about it in the interview). He is one of the most active members of the EC community and has helped out many people with his blog posts about Entrecard. He is also one of the first people to come up with the ever growing “Drop lists” and also gave me the idea for the U DROP / I FOLLOW movement.

Now on with the 10+1 (lol) interview

Deimos Interview

1. What is the deal with your 125×125 badge?
DTA: Back in 2003 when I was still in college, I got my hair dyed full red once. Snapped some screenies back then, posted some of them up on friendster.com

At that time, X-Men 2 was released on the big screens not too long ago. A friend of mine took my photo and photo-shopped it to give it a “Night Crawler” feel, I love what he did!

I have been using the purple face and red hair in forums that I participated, and when I EntreCardized myself back in December 2007 it was only natural that I used this image as my EntreCard.

2. You are a 26 year old gamer and blogger… What else do you do with your days?

DTA: I go to my office daily ~ 9am to 5pm-ish. My dad runs a little building construction / housing development firm and I do what I can to help out.

Back home, I play some PC Games if I got the time. Also have a Xbox 360 that I use to play some games on it sometimes when I have the time.

The rest of my time goes to accompanying my Darling (wife to be, hopefully) as she demands a lot of attention from me, even though she has been living with my family for quite some time.

3. How much has Entrecard changed your daily Internet activities?

DTA: Much. Dropping EntreCards is quite a daily chore now, found myself spending too much time dropping EntreCards. Definitely need to further optimize my dropping strategy so I can minimize time wastage and maximize my productivity.

4. Your a very active Forum poster on Entrecard. Do you think it helps a EC blog by being a active forum member? Read more »

Lee’s Interviews: SiteHoppin

Lee Doyle's Blog PostIntroduction

This is a post from Entrecard Blog!
From today I will be making a weekly Interview with a Entrecard member. Most of the next 10 interviews are already planned but I will be looking for some more in the next few weeks.

Today’s interview is with SiteHoppin blogger Jung ‘Max’ Lee. As many of you will know Site Hoppin is a way of browsing other Entrecard blogs with just a click of a button. He also has many other types of sites for you to hop over at the click of your mouse.

This interview is a way of getting into the crazy mind of the Video Blogger and seeing if we can find out what else happens

If you would like to have a 10 question interview with me please message me over Entrecard and we can see if we have any free spaces.

You can also read this interview on my Blog along with some other Entrecard posts including the U DROP / I FOLLOW Movement

SiteHoppin Interview

Your one the few Video Bloggers on Entrecard at the moment. Do you think that video blogging has gained you more viewers? (Link to one Video: here)

I actually started out video blogging because one day I got too drunk and thought it’d be cool to make a drunken video. I wasn’t going to keep doing it but it seemed like people in general liked funny videos so I kept going. I think video only helps if your blog topic is entertainment. If your blog is purely informational, most people probably rather read then watch.

SiteHoppin has changed a lot in the last few months. How do you think it will evolve in the future?

Well, we have added a lot of features so I think the site will continue to grow. The greatest thing about SiteHoppin is that it’s a mix of many little things here and there, no one can copy us, especially our videos.

You use beer a lot in your videos, site and your whole business design… Do you think you may have a problem? Read more »

An interview with Lisa from 20SB

Interview with Lisa, founder of 20 Somethings Bloggers

Lisa from 20SBWell, I wanted to see if I could get a interview with the creator of 20SB, and bingo I did (Took awhile but got there in the end).

I wanted to see if I could delve into the mind of the creator of 20SB and find out some of ideas behind 20SB. I always wanted to try to find out a bit about this chearfull happy lady and that now infamous photo she uses.

I am sure anyone reading this will know about Lisa but just incase you dont here is her Blog “I Don’t Think It’s Going To Rain . Com“. The 20SB group can be found here (Please join)

What was the idea behind 20 somethings Bloggers?

Well, necessity is totally the mother of invention. I was continually trying to find other bloggers that I would enjoy and that I could connect with… but it’s SO difficult. Listing services give categories like “women” or “personal” or “life” which I mean, I GUESS they describe me? But why not start a category called Human? Just because we’re both women, or just because we write about our personal lives, doesn’t mean we’re going to relate at all. Read more »
