‘Tramp’ in church was minister in disguise

image

I am not a religious man at all. I am open about being a Atheist but respect most religions and peoples beliefs. One of my favourite bloggers (Rebellious Arab Girl) has a old post about Honour Killings in the Islam religion which seems to always get some comments every month or so.  Since reading this post and following Monas blog I have changed many of my views on Islam and Arabs in General.

A lot of people think that I must be some sort of Devil Worshipper as I don’t follow the Bible, Koran or read L. Ron Hubbard’s stories. I just believe we are here, I don’t believe that some higher power has written any books or has any disciples do so. I do believe these books can offer some words of wisdom and can help people out of some hard times, but that is as far as it goes for me.

I came across this story in Todays papers which really made me smile. It shows how some people believe that if they just go to Church or your Mosques then all is forgiven and their GOD will think they are good people… But what they forget is if their GOD is real he is watching 24/7.

I do not believe in GOD… But I try my very best to be as nice to people as I can. The one thing I did learn at school was Respect, and that is something I always follow.

Read in FULL here.

Members of a church congregation received a shock when a “tramp” who wandered in off the street took off his wig and hat and revealed himself as their minister.

Former police officer the Rev Derek Rigby dressed in clothes from a charity shop and rolled around where his “dog had been” in the garden as part of his disguise.

The 51-year-old said he told the congregation and John Morris, one of the senior members and a lay-preacher who was taking the Sunday service, he would be arriving 20 minutes late at the Trinity Methodist Church in Prestatyn, Denbighshire, North Wales.

But instead of the expected arrival of the minister the congregation of around 70 saw a tramp walk in and sit down in the church.

Mr Rigby, who was a police officer for 15 years before he was ordained 20 years ago, said: “I was amazed that no one recognised me. I was quite close to some of them. Sitting next to some and they still did not recognise me.”

The minister, who had not shaved for three days, then stood up and revealed who he was. The charade was linked to the theme of the service which was based around the failure of the disciples to recognise Jesus Christ on the road to Emmaus after his resurrection.

Mr Rigby, who took up the post at the church in 2005, said: “When I walked in and revealed myself they (the congregation) broke into a round of applause.”

Speaking about the demonstration, he said: “It was interesting to see the different responses. It is the unacceptable face of charity.

“I had to walk about half a mile from my house to the church otherwise people would have recognised my car.

“I was not in the porch as people arrived for the service I was slightly outside the church.

“I had to scruff the clothes up and I had syringes – used for giving my dog medicine but without the needles in so they were safe.

“I waited until Sunday school had finished as I didn’t want to scare the children.

“I was behaving drunk but I was not noisy or rolling around. I sneaked into the porch where the disabled toilets are and stole some toilet roll.

“Then I went back in to steal a decanter and glasses at which point someone ran after me and took them off me. At that point I was invited in.”

No option but to disrupt our lives

Last week we heard from journalist Adam Postans on why he believes Fathers 4 Justice has taken the wrong route to win public support. In response, the group’s founder Matt O’Connor explains why direct action by the campaigners may close the motorways before Christmas

Take That and the Spice Girls have been staging comebacks. Now, according to Adam Postans, so will the Sex Pistols of protest groups, Fathers 4 Justice (F4J).Are the rumours and Press reports true? Will the Severn bridges be converted into Europe’s largest outdoor car parks courtesy of the lycra lads? Is Wales going to be closed for Christmas?

And will Batman come out of retirement in the new year?

The answer to that question currently resides with the Secretary of State at the Department for Work and Pensions, Peter Hain - the “Minister of Pain” as we have dubbed him, who bottled our first meeting, despite inviting us to his Neath constituency in Wales all the way from Southampton.

Here was a Minister who would shake the hands of Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness, but wouldn’t shake the hands of a man who is known only for bolstering sales of superhero garb in our nation’s fancy-dress shops. That man, by the way, is me.

If these last-ditch attempts at constructive dialogue fail, we are left with no alternative other than to resume a full-scale campaign, the scale and type of which will make the first phase of Fathers 4 Justice look like the Boys’ Brigade. Big dramatic statements will be required, for these are the accelerants of change and change is what our children deserve.

For five years, Fathers 4 Justice has valiantly waged a campaign for equal parenting using ridicule, satire and subversion as weapons of choice against the establishment. We have faced imprisonment, huge trials, people being shot at and Government smear campaigns.

But recent protests have been relatively low-key, compared to our halcyon days as dialogue came before direct action.

More recently there have been unconnected moronic acts of vandalism by somebody with the mental electricity of a low-energy light bulb.

Our target is the system, not our nation’s heritage.

But, in the quieter interludes behind the headlines, Fathers 4 Justice have engaged in plenty of soul-baring and pressed the flesh of the great and the good, so much so that, last week, the Archbishop of York spoke warmly about our campaign in the House of Lords.

Despite blowing enough hot air to power an offshore wind farm, Adam Postans’ views are not rooted in any kind of reality, especially when he accuses the courts of being lenient on F4J protesters.

He should take note that when judged by a jury - the real court of public opinion - we have been found not guilty in six trials by jury.

But the real story here is that fatherhood is being made redundant, emotionally, finan- cially and biologically. This is a national emergency and that’s why Fathers 4 Justice will continue to sound the alarm.

YOU have no rights to see your children in law after separation. The courts will tell you that they are acting in the “child’s best interests” but this is an unfounded claim. There is no evidence to prove this because no records have been kept on the outcomes for children.

Family law is the devil’s labyrinth, run by an unelected, unaccountable and unsackable judiciary who operate in secrecy. This is the greatest cover-up in the history of British justice. The question is, just what have they got to hide?

This insidious gender apartheid determines that the mother shall be the carer and the father shall pay. The Government is happy for you to abandon your child tomorrow - providing you pay. You are not a father, you are a cashpoint.

The final coup de grace has been the removal of the father by design. The Embryology Bill will see the unprecedented removal of the need for a father in legislation for the first time and allow single parenting to become the lifestyle choice du jour for millions of selfish women.

The catastrophic consequence of the sex wars is the harvest of bullets and blades that sees children killing children on our streets, the highest rate of young offending in Western Europe, the highest rate of teenage pregnancies and also an epidemic of abortion.

The evidence is overwhelming that Britain is in breakdown - family breakdown, driven by the systematic removal of the father by the state from the family unit.

Mr Postans might put his personal convenience above a duty to the nation but we will not. We not only have a duty of care to our children, but a duty to act according to a higher moral code - the prevailing laws of natural justice that dictate children have two parents - not the perversion of justice that is family law.

The philosopher Thomas Paine once wrote: “If there be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace.” We have gone to war for lesser principles. Nothing is more important than the children we love and cherish.

If that means that the roads will close this Christmas, then as a father for justice, I say let them.

Woman jailed over rape attack lie

A 38-year-old mother who made false rape allegations has been sent to jail for nearly three years.
Kerry Thomas, of Crescent Road, Netherton, Dudley, admitted she had lied when she claimed she had been raped in an alleyway last summer.

Wolverhampton Crown Court heard that her allegations led to two men being arrested, one of whom lost his job.

She pleaded guilty to intending to pervert the course of justice and was sentenced to 32 months in jail.

The court heard that when Thomas was interviewed for a second time by police she admitted making up the story.

She was told by Recorder Derek Chinery that only a custodial sentence was appropriate.

He added that the criminal justice system depended on people telling the truth.

Tonight’s thoughts (2)

Waiting waiting waiting… I hate it…. Maybe it is the plan though (Yea I know I sound crazy)…. They make me wait and then rush me… I’ll be ready….

Well nothing has really happened this week. I have not been able to get online much as my brother is hogging the computer and it will get worse soon once he gets his new gfx card…. Maybe I should hide it….

F4J has been in the news quite a bit this week… We had Archbishop of York in the House of Lords putting some points across which was great be it 2 years late… But it was done anyway. He said

My Lords we know already that there are men who have been moved by
particular legal circumstances to form the “Fathers for Justice”
group.

When one removes from their campaign their pranks and their purported
attempts to kidnap Leo Blair, one discovers that the founder of the
movement was forced into campaigning because overnight he was denied
access to a child whom he dearly loved and who he believed loved and
needed him. It took a long time before access was restored. Hence the
campaign.

And now we have a Bill in which the Government is set to remove ? as
a statement of public policy ? the requirement for the need of a
father? How much stronger then might become the campaign of Justice
for Fathers?

Which was nice :D it has also been in the news about the meeting with MP Peter Hain, It was meant to be a DEMO but Peter Hain asked for a meeting instead…. grrr….
