Entrecard Burnout: Takedown
I wrote a week ago about my Entrecard Burnout and thought while I stopped dropping I would see how it really effected my stats for a week or so.
I had stopped dropping about 1 week before I wrote my article on the burnout so please take the stats from before that.
I also thought id give you a site to compare mine with… So i randomly took my old local papers stats (It was a random pick….) so here is a local papers stats with mine.

As many of you know U DROP / I FOLLOW has not been updated in sometime. I have just not had the time to update it everyday and the amount of new members is far beyond that I could cope with.
Today I have reworked the whole members list and added and removed members. The list will be more easy for me to manage now and keep tidy. the list has now gone down to 141 members (Right now) but was far more before some were removed.
I will have a new system in place soon which will move members up and down depending on how the drop. I may also have a voting system in place soon.
I also have some new badges that members and myself have made. I will also work on some newer badges this week as I have seen some people re size the colored versions to fit their boxes… So I guess you like the colors.
ill update the codes asap. if you made these badges please let me know and ill give you full credit

MindBlock so your getting my stats (Entrecard)
I have nothing to blog about today and my head is killing me! So today your getting some stats from my Entrecard account. Maybe you will find them interesting… Prob not.
One reason I am posting them is today I got back to the top #1 spot in the personal blogs cat. This is great as I dropped when I took some time off and its got much harder now to get in the top 3. I think its getting to around 700ish blogs in personal so its a big fight with the top 10 blogs.
I am glad i am now getting around 300 drops back so a big thanks to everyone!

Move Complete! Moving help list
The full server move has gone to plan and it the final switches have been flipped. Fingers crossed it has all gone to plan! Here are some things I have listed for people who may be switching… Learn from my mistakes!
- Do a FULL SQL backup using Export in PhpMyAdmin! Also do a Wordpress backup
- Remember to update the .htaccsess! I forgot this and it screwed up all the permalinks! Fixed now!
- Backup your plugins, uploads, themes, and anything else you can think of. Everything could messup on the transfer so its a MUST!
- Backup your text boxes in Wordpress! For some reason they are messing up with me… Might just be me but back them up in a txt file.
- Sort your not-so-needed plugins out and clean up
- test the website before switching your nameservers! I have switched before checking in the past and it just gives you a headache! Read more »

I am switching to a new server today. I will try to put up a temp page for anyone dropping cards.
The server I hope all goes to plan and should only last a few hours. Please bare with me!

Be right back
I have some Internet issues and just a lack of time to keep up with everything at the moment. A lot if going on in my life right now and I have many personal things to take care off. I am also moving on with a few things and have some new things starting in my life.
I will blog about these asap but for now I have to get some things sorted. I hope to be back in a few days but just in-case I thought I would leave this message so you don’t think I just gave up.
On a happy note I will just say that I have met someone and I hope that I can be happy once again.

I also got into the top 100,000 Alexa rankings! That was my goal for the whole year…. I think next is below 90,000

Best and worst of Blog widgets!
You see widgets everywhere these days. When people get into blogging the first thing they do is fill up their sidebar with junk that they don’t need, and in the end it just slows your website down and makes it look a mess. I have myself done these things and will probably still do them in the future… But some of you can learn from my mistakes.
On the other hand you will also find many widgets that are very good and will really improve your blogging for you and your readers.
I will list some of the worst and best widgets and what they can do (Or not) for your blog or website.
Worst:
- Games and Cyber Pets.
These will just slow your website down. I see many people using the cyber pets these days and the truth be told I was at one point going to use one. Luckily my brain kicked in and I realised it would just slow everything down and take up so much space. Games also take forever to load. It is OK to use them if you have a page for them and make sure it is tagged so people know it will take forever to load. - Spottt
This is just a rip-off from Entrecard but is a much more simple version. It has no settings that give you any control and you will very rarely get any clicks to your blog. I used it for around one week and got under 10 click backs after giving thousands of impressions. The stats are none existent and you never know what will appear on your site.
