Internet = Google?

I’m sat here doing my normal internet browsing when I look at my FireFox browser and it hits me, close to everything I use to do anything is made or owned by Google. My top 10 things I use every day are:

1. Google Reader
2. Gmail
3. Google Search
4. Google Blog Search
5. Google Calender
6. Feedburner
7. Gtalk
8. YouTube
9. Blogger (Most blogs I read use it)
10. Google Sitemap (XML)

Only site I use that is not eaither a blog or forum is Digg…  hope they buy it

So is it just me? Or is everything feeling like Google run the show? I would normally be up in arms about it but I respect Google so much. They are big on open source and Blogger now uses OpenID and loads of other blogging log ins which you would never get from Microsoft or other big names. They now have a big Linux archive and there own open source site.

I don’t see anything wrong with them at the moment, I have read a few things about them but with any company you get some haters.

I am happy, one log in gets me all this! I do use other sites a bit but fingers crossed they all get owned by Google oneday.

   If Google sucked then I’d probably be more offended by it but everything they do is a million times better than before. Rock on Google Monopoly!
