Puttting the dog down! (Spottt Widget)
I am so fed up of Spottt (Widget) now! Here are a few reasons why!
- 6000 impressions in the week I have been with it… 20 hits back!
- No control over what is displayed!
- No control panel…
- No control who my advert is put on… Or can I find out who it has been on
- Website and widget always going down
- It looks stupid!
- Stupid name!
- Waste of space!
- Entrecard kicks it in the dogs balls!
- Do I need to list more?!
I wanted to use this widget and love it… I thought it would be a good idea! But all it has done is crash and leave a big blank space, make my side bar bigger, steal Entrecards design, and annoy me!
SO its time to put this Dog down! I would normally never harm a animal and do not normaly agree with putting animals down… But sometimes it can not be helped!

Hi Lee,

I had thought about checking Spott out but I think I will stick to EC. Good group of people and I’m getting traffic. Can’t ask for more than that.

good points mate. I looked into it after success with EC and came to the same conclusions. Another thing was i could sell the same space and get money for it.

I am yet to hear of anyone who really likes Spot. It seems that Entrecard is a much better choice. I signed up for spott awhile ago and they never sent me the confirmation email, when I went to look for help it was just too much of a hassle, so I never bothered. lol. I think I am glad, it sounds like it’s kind of junk.

I actually found your blog via a spott link on another blog, but I’m with you. I have the widget on my site too and I cant work it out or their stats!
Entrecard beats it hands down!

Great picture! I didn’t bother with Spott, given most of what I’ve read has been negative, or lukewarm at best.

I do agree EC is much better than Spottt (yup triple T)
but it a nice cute puppy, so I just decide to keep it

My Son is now just over 1 and a half. Ive not seen him for close to a year now so they are the only pics I have.
Your right about the pics though…. But some puppy’s have to put down no matter how cute they are…

I have the widget on my site and I don’t pay it any attention. I do pay a lot of attention to EntreCard, so I guess that speaks volumes on its own. I haven’t noticed the site crash, though sometimes the ‘look’ changes quickly and other times it could be days. I guess that is the crash. I’m not going to remove it yet, because the blog is still with blogspot and I’m preparing a turn over soon.
This is interesting what others feel about Spottt and because of this article I will definitely give Spottt another look see.
