Back to basics

BasicsI have been worrying about a lot of unimportant things the past few months… Maybe I have been doing this to take my mind of the things I should be thinking about, or maybe its just me getting used to the situation.

I have decided to go and do some homework and start a new chapter in my blog. I am going to try to reverse the tables on some people and organizations that are intent on destroying fathers and myself. Maybe this is just another way of taking my mind of my children and my ex… But I need to do something and why not do something useful for a change.

I have been talking to a lot of old friends the past few weeks and spent a lot of time debating changes in public opinions of fathers and what could be done to change them… I have also been doing some legal work for some friends and am in court the next few weeks for myself and some other people.

I hope to get back to my old fighting self and forget about all this stupid agro that some unimportant people have created for me…

So from next week expect the old 2007 version of Lee Doyle and expect some angry comments to start coming my way again.

P.s.

I will be very busy this week and the next. So please only email me if you need too! If you need help please use other contacts.

Entrecard Debate: Pro choice vs Pro life

Entrecard Debates

* I do not intend to offend anyone here. I am just taking one side in this debate!

This debate was started by Seeking Serenity and I hope will grow as more people take part in it. If you are a member of the Entrecard community you can join here: Link to forum post

To be a linked member just trackback to this post and anyothers that take part in this. I will update this post with replies using my trackbacks.

This is such a touchy subject that I have had many debates about. I have taken both sides throughout my life and my mind has changed on many occasions.

I have set out some questions that pop-up when I debate on this. Hopefully this will help eliminate some questions and I hope will fix any feelings I may offend.

I have added a question at the end that I think should be here also.

Here are my thoughts, you are welcome to change them.

  • When is something alive?

phpCdp685 I think something is alive once it has blood running through its veins. if you kill something that has blood and can move… its murder. A baby has its first heart beat at Day 22, Week 5 Eyes, legs, and hands begin to develop, Week 6 Brain waves are detectable; mouth and lips are present; fingernails are forming, week 8 Every organ is in place, bones begin to replace cartilage, and fingerprints begin to form. By the 8th week the baby can begin to hear. Weeks 10 and 11 The baby can “breathe” amniotic fluid and urinate. Week 11 the baby can grasp objects placed in its hand; all organ systems are functioning. The baby has a skeletal structure, nerves, and circulation. Week 12: The baby has all of the parts necessary to experience pain, including nerves, spinal cord, and thalamus. Vocal cords are complete. The baby can suck its thumb.

I do not think anyone has the right to kill something, especially when this person has done nothing wrong and has no say in the matter.

  • Should a women have the right to decide on the babies life?

I know the argument is “Its my body, my life, my right to what I want” and that is true! But when you have a living body inside of you that right is not all yours. Most people know that they will get pregnant and know how it happens. If you took that risk (No matter how many precautions you took) then you still knew it has a risk. You have something alive inside of you… You have no right to kill it.

  • What is something bad happened?

Every time this debate comes up you always get the “What if ***** was raped?”. There is no perfect answer for this side of the debate because I have no idea what it is like to be this person. I do believe that the baby has done nothing wrong and could be one tiny good thing to come out of the situation… The baby is innocent… No one has a right to kill this baby.

  • Side note

I believe that there are many reasons women have abortions… But I think these days it is seen as the quick fix solution. I see so many people have them like its popping a aspirin. if you do not want to get pregnant don’t take the risk! Its very simple.

  • My own argument to ad to this
  • Should a the man know if his child has been aborted?

This has been in the news a lot in England as some fathers are not told when their child is born and when it/he/she is aborted.

I really do believe the father of the child has the right to know. Many people argue the fact that a lot of guys do not want the baby anyway… Well what about the ones that do?! You cant judge every man the same just because of the bad ones.

DEBATE: Internet - Good or Evil

Evil Web

[poll=2]

We all love the Internet and see all the great things it offers, but we all know all the bad things it can do and we hear on the news all the Internet kidnappings and the latest Virus spreading all over, but is the Internet bad or good thing? Is there any real answer to it?

Do you think maybe this is us evolving and becoming more adapted to the world around us? With all the RSS readers and big companies taking over the Internet like Google are we creating some new type of country and new Law? If so who is really running it? We see websites like ThePirateBay taking on the whole of Hollywood and publicly sticking its middle finger up to them, we see Google becoming a super power where no one will even challenge them when they are really doing the same sort of thing as ThePirateBay.

We also see a change in the way communities are developing, we now see open source software becoming the big leaders in the Internet. We see Ubuntu finally getting Linux into the public domain and changing peoples views. We see 10′000s of people developing software free of charge which is better then most of the paid for software.

I am using Wordpress to keep this site up which is open source and its much better then anything I have usee, it has 1000s of free plug-ins which are made for free, and its updated close to every 2 months free of charge.

We see P2P running the online market and now big names trying to cash in on it. Do these countries really have the right to tell us what can and can’t do online? Do we really have laws online that we should abide by? If so who really makes these rules and why should they be different for people depending on where you live? The Internet is the same no matter where you live.

MSNM StupidI even see the English language changing online. You just need to look at Chat programs these days and see speech changing and images replacing text… Words being shortened more and more. Will we one-day have our own Internet speech? I personally think we are getting very close.

Blogging is becoming the new thing which is making stars out of everyday people. Blogs are taking over websites these days as more and more people subscribe to RSS feeds and spend there whole day just reading them.

We also see some people become addicted to the Internet, Kids playing online games and spending their whole lives becoming someone they are not, afraid to go out in the read world as their life online is much more respected then their own in the real world.

These are just some ideas, please comment and give your views.

Here are some bullet points:

  • Is the Internet evolving us humans
  • Is the Internet making is more lazy or making us more in-touch with others
  • Is the Internet good or evil
  • Who owns the Internet
  • Can anyone ever fully control the Internet?
  • Is open Source a good thing for the Internet?
  • If you think the Internet is evil, why wont you stop using it?
  • Are you hooked to the Internet?

Thanks for reading
