1984 Poem
Written by Lee Doyle on January 15, 2008 – 7:38 amA poem about the book 1984 and how I see it starting to become a reality here in our time. Its more a thought poem and I know it needs work but I was inspired by a image I looked at, and wanted to write something.
He’s watching, planting the seed in your mind,
Sprouting the thoughts, controlling mankind,
Big Brother it watching, don’t step out of line,
There are no victims, just a product of design.
Nothing to want, no need for greed,
Just bettering the system is your only need,
They think of no future, and forget all the past,
To be of no value, always wanting to be last.
Start to think of yourself, and you have to go,
Wiped from the system, just a blip or a typo,
You live for no regrets, life isn’t diction,
Now wake up my dear, this is not fiction …
