The Day - Poem
The last time I saw you you was reaching out to me,
Crying for your daddy, while grandad took you away to mummy,
Do you remember the song book we use sit and read?
Ill do anything to read you that story, your all that I need,
Its so easy to sit and forget about the past,
But I dont want to, your my daughter, that will forever last,
What id give to just hold in my arms, to tell you I miss you, and im your dad, and your growing so fast,
I remember when you was born, and how much it made my cry,
To see you in my arms, my whole life change, you was mine,
So i’m sat here crying, trying so hard to wait for that day,
But baby I miss you, i’m your daddy, and that day seems so far away,

May 22, 2008 - 12:05:16Your poem is full of love and longing at the same time. I hope someday your daughter could read this to see how her dad loves her so much.
It’s so hard to see you suffer everyday
not seeing your baby, “Life sucks!” I should say,
Saying how you miss her, damn its very touching
In her youthful mind, wondering what she’s thinking
Im sure its her daddy, that she’s missing.
I myself is going through personal pains
compared to yours, its like one drop of rain
so let me show you my sincerest gratitude
and hope this works and change a bit of your mood
I feel bad for you,
I worry about you,
I sympathize with you,
I’ll cry with you,
Hell, I will even fight with you.
Dont these people know this child is truly loved?
how it feels someone take away your own flesh and blood?
They are so cruel, Full of shit, like a puddle of mud.
To these kind of people, I wish I could say more,
but Im just putting myself to bore.
Just a waste of my typing, making my fingers sore.
Now dont you worry my dear friend Lee,
I will be here for you,
waiting by the window like a flower Pikaki
Can’t wait to see you with them, Oh dear
giving you the look, missing you, coming near
Your children, with your eternal love
one day you’ll fly free with them like a dove.
I feel much the same way about my grandchildren Lee. Not the same thing as wanting to be a daddy to your child, I know, but it hurts just the same not to be around my grandkids and they are growing older too. Wishing you better times my friend. Take care.
Carol,
Its people liked yourself who get forgotten in these situations. I know us fathers moan but its the grandparents and aunts and uncles who never even get a mention.
The only people who are thought about are the mothers… not even the children are taken into account.
