The Entrecard Conspiracy (The EC-Files)
If your a blogger I am sure you have seen the posts floating around about my so called power trip and all these things I am meant to have done. I have so much going on in the real world that most of it has not affected me whatsoever… But some has as it has been made personal.
I will try to explain some things that happened that I believe have been misunderstood or people have got completely wrong. I would also like to use this post to say sorry to a few people.
- I never banned any forum poster.
- I moved and deleted posts that broke rules.
I believe I was in a no-win situation. If I left these posts open I would be seen as a bad MOD not doing my job, if I closed them I would offend people who wanted the posts open. I decided to look after the easy going forum posters who did not want to see aggressive posts on the forum.
A lot of people will have you believe once the Firestorm forum was open they were happy and never bothered anyone as they had their own sandpit to do what they liked in… This was not the case as they continued to post “Recruitment” style posts and would ruin perfectly good posts on the normal forum to a point no one would post there.
From here on, I want to build bridges.
I will take more advice from MOD’s and Admins from now on. I will try to think about things before acting on them, and take more time to stop this from happening again. I do accept some blame for this situation, I was new and have never modded a forum for bloggers before.
i would also like to say a big Sorry to Stan from Razzball as I never gave him credit which he deserved for coming up the consept for u drop I follow. Sorry for not doing this sooner, and sorry if I have caused any bad blood between us. Here is a link to the original post

I enjoyed your post, Lee and accept it at face value. As for it becoming personal … for me it isn’t. It’s about Entrecard and the way that people who have devoted a lot of time into Entrecard were treated. I can’t tell you how many “personal” attacks directed towards you that I have deleted and not published on the Firestorm blog. If they weren’t related to the events at Entrecard, they were gone. I’m glad you made this overture at mending fences. There are those who should follow your lead, but I doubt that will happen.

I am sure that whoever reads this will think “Well, Crista just wants him thats why she is sucking up” (I had been lurking on another forum when everything happened). I didn’t see anything wrong with what you did other than do what you are supposed to do. I have been a moderator of a site before and if you cough the wrong way everyone gets into a tiff and starts shit about how you are on a “powertrip” so to speak. Unless anyone has ever had to run a forum or mod a forum they don’t know what they are talking about. I have been really busy with work at home job and if or when hubby is leaving but I still am an avid reader of a few blogs and leave comments when I can. I think that writing this was great and I hope it opened a few others eyes about the situation.

Lee,
Thanks for taking on the task of being a Moderator in the first place. We have our own view of the world and there are few points on which we can all agree, especially when passions rise and the he-said, she-said cycle begins. Life rolls on and most people get past the minor disturbances in their lives without too much difficulty, and those who are still hanging onto some perceived offense will be hanging onto tomorrow, too.
And as far as U Drop I Follow goes, ideas are easy to come by. Real success goes to the person who implements the idea. Your Followers have played a valuable role in Entrecard’s development and that took someone like you who was willing to put in the time and effort to get it started and make it real. The sad part is that you can’t control who signs up as a Follower and there’s not enough time in the day to check if everyone is a True Follower.

@Suzanne The personal attack I talk of was on the EC Firestorm forums. It was closed by phi when he saw it.
Thanks for your comments, I just thought something was needed to be said.

@Kent
I felt that I needed to mention something about the U DROP idea as people thought I sort of stole the idea. I never intended to do that and hope this fixes any issues people have.

I’m fairly new to Entrecard and do not know who you are or what happened prior to my arrival. It seems a lot happened.
Anyway, I’m sure most people did what they had to do. Everyone should just forgive and move on. Don’t let negative thoughts and feelings ruin anything.

Hm I never know that Stan was behind the idea of “U drop I follow” as well. I guess you should at least credited him earlier. Oh well, as long as you have apologised and felt sorry for it, then he should have forgiven you (hopefully)
With the mod, well, you can’t make everybody happy, can you?

I’m out of the loop so to speak, so I am not privvy to anything being said about you. But, I did come through Entrecard. I have been here before, but this is my first comment. I’ll let you know if you piss me off too.
Oh, the real reason I was inspired to comment was when I found out that you have a daughter named Faith. I do as well.

Being a mod means standing up to trolls. Don’t feel bad if they seek retribution because you did that. Be mad at Grant for being too much of a pussy to stand by you. They built a little fort on his site and he expected you to clean it up.
Have a nice day, pard.
